2 DIMENSIONAL DESIGN

A foundation in the fundamentals of pictorial design. In a sequence of

hands-on exercises and projects,

students I are introduced to the concept of the picture plane, figure/ground relationships, scale and proportional transformation, patterning,composition, value, color, methods forconveying time, and spatial illusion.

FOUNDATION IN DESIGN (Semester 2)

Visual Culture

 

An examination of the societal, cultural and historical dimensions of visual material, from antiquity to the modern period from the perspectives of Western and Asian.

Social Psychology

 

Understanding the complex mental processes that dictate human actions. Along with presenting an interesting academic challenge, psychology has a host of applicable uses. Able to apply the understanding of human behavior to numerous situations and use their knowledge in their everyday life.

English 2

 

Expanding vocabulary and developing reading fluency; building context and phonic skills; giving oral opinions and writing sentence answers about reading; brainstorming to generate writing ideas; performing basic word processing skills.

Moral Studies

 

Development of a person's virtuous, including honesty, responsibility, and compassionate. Morality is a matter of personal choices and subjective values. Moralities are embedded in traditions, in conceptions of what it means to be human, in worldviews.
